Elements for Evolution: Connection
Elements for Evolution...a short series
Welcome to “Elements for Evolution”, a series of elements that have I’ve been having to put into practice in my life and to be frank it’s TRASH (lmao) but I can’t lie it’s also necessary. Each element is shining a light on different areas of myself that needs some tending to and this series will reveal some of the things I’ve had to either ask or remind myself of. I promise to be brief but can’t promise that the process to work through these elements will be; anywho up next we have connection…
con·nec·tion /kəˈnekSH(ə)n/ noun: a relationship in which a person, thing, or idea is linked or associated with something else; the action of linking one thing with another.
Connection is built on trust, safety, and consistency in sharing. It requires honesty, transparency, and vulnerability. Connection also cultivates community because we’re not meant or designed to do life alone. Do you have any meaningful connections or any you’re actively working on building? If you drew a blank and feel like you’re lacking meaningful connections but it’s something that you desire to have in your life you have to first be or do that for yourself. So if you want deeper connection with others deeply connect with yourself. What you put out into the world will return back to you.
You deserve to experience depths of connection and intimacy so don’t hesitate to survey relationships and connections in your life. What meaningful connections do you have or actively working on building? What is at the foundation of those connections? Do they align to the values you have? Do they align with where you’re aiming to go? Do they challenge you, offer diversity of thought and being? What is the value add? Is there reciprocity or are you always giving or taking?
I don’t have the all the answers but I clearly have questions (lol) and I gave a bunch to reflect on to hold you over while we’re apart so until next time…
